GCFC TV views up 60% so far in 2020


Glasgow City are pleased to report a 60% increase in our TV and video content so far in 2020 despite the Coronavirus pandemic and lack of football action.

Up until the end of June 2020, GCFC video content has generated almost 550,000 views - a significant rise from the same point in 2019.

GCFC TV (along with our entire social media team) has kept City supporters entertained on our platforms with a whole range of video content. We’ve had regular watch parties showcasing full games and supercut montages. We’ve also delved into our archive content from down the years and used the best of 2020 technology to bring new content including extended interviews with first team and academy players.

Head of GCFC TV - Callum Patterson - commented:

“The lockdown has been tough for many and we’ve tried to dig deep in to the archive to keep fans entertained and have some sort of footballing ‘routine’ . Our full games or supercuts on Sunday’s being an example of this. Everyone is using video calls at the moment and it has been great for our media team to chat with some of our players (including new signings) and academy prospects in an extended form. We thank every single one of you for your support watching along and looking back at some great City memories!

GCFC’s media team will provide content building up to our big tie v Wolfsburg in the UWCL and continue to build up to hopefully a return to domestic football soon.
