Glasgow City are delighted to announce that they have reached an agreement with Head Coach Scott Booth, to extend his contract with the club until the end of 2021.

UEFA Pro Licence holder, Booth, who originally joined City back in 2015 has lifted the SWPL 1 title during each of his first four years with the club, and his team currently sit top of the League at the mid-season break.

The 12 in a row Champions also proudly had five current Glasgow City players representing Scotland at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, along with six former players, three of whom – Rachel Corsie, Fiona Brown and Erin Cuthbert – also all enjoyed a period of time at the club under Head Coach Booth.

Speaking of the agreement, Club Manager and Co-Founder Laura Montgomery said, “Scott fits Glasgow City brilliantly. We work really well together and we have similar aims and ambitions, not just for our club, but also for the women’s game in Scotland as a whole.

“He is a great coach and it is evident the improvements he has brought to the game of many of our talented players. His League record speaks for itself, but most importantly he works really well with the squad, he gets the best out of them and we are delighted he has agreed to stay with us for another 2.5 years.”

Booth himself said, “I feel delighted and privileged to sign a new contract with the club.

“I've really enjoyed my four years at Glasgow City. The players, staff, founders and fans have been fantastic. However, there is plenty of ambition to get even better both on and off the park.

“We have some incredibly talented people on board with the club, and the future of Glasgow City FC is looking very bright. I am delighted to be a part of it.”
