Glasgow City are excited to announce Utilita Energy as an Official Partner of the Club for a minimum of two seasons. The agreement will see Utilita on the back of the first team home and away kits as well as sponsoring the club Player of the Month award.
Founded in 2003, Utilita Energy is one of the nation’s fastest-growing independent energy suppliers – currently powering more than 800,000 UK customers. It’s established itself as a hugely-recognisable brand in British football having supplied power to a number of iconic stadiums – including Selhurst Park, Ibrox & Villa Park – while partnering with over 25 clubs.
Jem Maidment, Chief Marketing Officer at Utilita, said: “The city of Glasgow is a hotbed for football and a city Utilita has strong links with. We are thrilled to be partnering with Glasgow City FC – a club with a rich history, one of the pioneer clubs in terms of promoting the women’s game in Scotland and a team with European pedigree as well. We are looking forward to engaging with the club and it’s supporters and we wish them all the best for what is shaping up to be an exciting season ahead.”
Commenting, Club Manager Laura Montgomery said, “Utilita have been at the forefront of investment in football across the UK in the last few years. Their backing of the game we all love stems across every level from professional to grassroots, female and male and this is wonderful to see.
“We are delighted to be a club Utilita want to support as we continue to grow on and off the pitch and we look forward to working together over the next few years to empower the next generation of women and girls to play the game.”
Centre to the new partnership will be Utilita’s Energy High 5 movement, which enable every household to use up to £163 less energy each year by making five simple and free changes at home.
