Glasgow City are pleased to announce Jamie Beattie as our new full time Development Officer for Glasgow City Foundation.
Jamie’s role will involve managing and growing the club academy, which already boasts 12 teams across all age groups, to ensure opportunities exist for as many girls as possible who want to take up the sport.
He will also lead on a number of our charitable aims and objectives using the power of football and sport to promote mental health and wellbeing, active citizenship and inclusion.
Commenting, Club Manager Laura Montgomery said, “We talk about it regularly, but championing women and girls is vitally important to us and at the heart of our decision making in all aspects across the Football Club and our charity, Glasgow City Foundation.
“Our growth plans to get more girls into sport, challenge inequalities and create as many opportunities as we can for our community to thrive are synonymous with this appointment. I wish Jamie the best of luck in his new role.”

Having been with the club for 2 years now, it is a hugely exciting time both on and off the pitch at Glasgow City, the club is going from strength to strength.
