City made it five wins from five in the Scottish Building Society SWPL1 with a 5-0 victory over Hearts at Broadwood Stadium.

Rachel McLauchlan gave City an early lead before second half strikes from Aoife Colvill, Tyler Toland, Nicole Robertson and Mairead Fulton secured the points.

City struck early with the opening goal coming after less than three minutes.

Clare Shine’s cross found McLauchlan who toe poked the ball into the bottom corner.

The home side went in search for a second goal but despite controlling large spells of possession, the ball failed to find the back of Hearts net with Sharon Wojcik and Mairead Fulton both having an efforts from the edge of the box.

Lauren Wade had the best chance to make it two just before half time when Fulton put a ball across the six yard box but the Northern Ireland international headed over the bar.

City made a half time substitution with Wade replaced by Colvill and within 60 seconds, Colvill made her mark.

The striker cut inside and fired at goal before the ball squirmed under the body of Charlotte Parker-Smith in the Hearts goal and over the line.

The hosts continued to pile pressure on their Edinburgh based opponents and made it three when Hearts failed to clear a corner and the ball came to Toland on the edge of the box to take a touch and fire it into the corner.

Robertson made it two goals in two SWPL games for City when she headed home at the back post before Mya Bates came in for her first ever appearance for the First Team.

Fulton completed the scoring as the clock turned 90 with a terrific run and powerful strike that left Paker-Smith no chance.

City head into the international break with a three point cushion over Celtic and Rangers.

They return to action at Ainslie Park against Spartans on Sunday 6th of December.
