Glasgow City are delighted to announce Daniel Matraszek as the club’s full time Head of Goalkeeping.

Matraszek, who has been the first team goalkeeping coach since 2016, will now take up a full-time senior role with the club, overseeing not only the first team goalkeepers, but also the club’s entire goalkeeping department.

Commenting on his appointment, Matrazsek said, “I am over the moon to be appointed full time Head Goalkeeping Coach and honoured to become part of the legacy of the club that I love.  It is the best feeling in the world knowing that I will be now sharing my days with all the amazing people involved within the club everyday. Glasgow City is growing rapidly and I am very excited for the times ahead of us. I would like to thank everyone at the club for believing in me and making this appointment. It really is life changing to have the opportunity to do my passion as my job. It is very true what they say, #OCAC, Once City, Always City.”

Chief Executive Laura Montgomery said, “Daniel has been excellent for the club to date and works incredibly hard and incredibly well with our first team keepers Lee Alexander and Erin Clachers. As part of our plans of progression, Daniel was our first choice for our new full-time role to oversee all goalkeeping at the club. He very much buys into our club values and aims and ambitions. I know he will work well with our existing Academy Goalkeeping coaches to help develop our young players, as well as continuing to get the very best out of our extremely talented first team keepers.”
