Glasgow City are delighted to announce that players Lauren Wade and Aoife Colvill have both agreed contract extensions with the club.
19 year old striker Colvill, who arrived earlier in the year from Australian side Canberra United has extended her contract with City for two years. Wade, an established Northern Ireland has also put time on to her existing deal, adding another 6 months.
In other player news, City part company with Izzy Dalton after the expiry of her contract. Dalton, who joined from Brisbane Roar in late February, came in just after the season had started.
Commenting, Head Coach Scott Booth said, “It has been incredibly difficult for everyone these last few months with no football, but as we get closer to returning to training and back to games, we wanted to secure Lauren and Aoife at the club and I am delighted they have agreed to their extensions.
“Regarding Izzy, to be honest, it is just terrible, terrible timing. She came in on a short-term deal initially to help cover us for injuries and to have time for both herself and the club to get to know each other. The way it worked out, lockdown happened soon after she arrived and she never got a chance. You never know what will happen in future, but for now, we wish Izzy the best of luck with the next stage of her career.”
