A superb second half display saw Glasgow City take a handsome 5-1 victory away at in-form Motherwell this afternoon in the SWPL.

Second half strikes from Prischila Chinchilla (54), Ode Fulutudilu (58, 62), Aoife Colvill (68) and Jenna Clark (80) secured the victory for the champions after a goalless first period. Katie Rice with the late consolation for ‘Well (84).

Eileen Gleeson handed recalls to both Tyler Dodds and goal-scorer Fulutudilu, after the duo impressed as substitutes in last week's SWPL Cup semi-final.

And it was Dodds who had the first chance of the game, when good work from Colvill and Chincilla worked an opening, but her header went wide on the 15 minute mark.

Great work from Colvill again almost saw Hayley Lauder tap home from close range shortly afterwards, but the ball trickled agonisingly wide.

Lauder went close again just after the hour mark when she angled a drive just went off Ramsay's post after being played through by Chincilla.

City eventually broke the home side's resistance just before hour mark when Chincilla thundered home from close range after a game of pin ball ensured after a excellent free kick from Lauder.

And City would double their lead within minutes with an outstanding second.

With Motherwell trying to break forward, City would break through Dodds who got another assist when she played through Fulutudilu who smashed home a fantastic drive beyond Ramsay.

Fulutudilu would put the result beyond doubt just four minutes later with her second of the game when she finished expertly from Niamh Chincilla's through ball.

And City's second-half dominance would be cemented when Aoife Colvill nodded home her eighth goal of the season following an a sublime cross from Julia Molin.

Extra gloss would be added to the result when Scotland international Clark nodded home an inch perfect from kick from Lauder to head home City’s fifth.

There was time for one more strike, with Rice’s venomous free-kick evading Lee Alexander and trickling over the line for a late consolation.
