A five star first half display from Glasgow City secured all three points at Glebe Park.
Goals from Aoife Colvill, Niamh Farrelly, Agata Filipa and a double from Vital Kats made sure the points headed back to Glasgow.
It was the first meeting between the two sides since 2017 and it took City just ten minutes to get going.
Colvill’s shot from the edge of the box brought out a fingertip save from Gail Gilmour but Cailin Michie kept the ball in play and found Colvill who fired the ball into the net.
That goal began a seven minute spell where City would race clear.
Ode Fulutudilu won a free kick on the left wing which found the head of Farrelly who glanced the ball into the far corner of the net and two minutes later, Kats got on the scoresheet when she found the bottom corner from the centre of the penalty area.
Aberdeen’s Eilidh Shore headed the ball wide from a free kick as the hosts looked to respond before Fulutudilu forced Gilmour into another save.
As the clock struck the half hour mark, a ball forward from Jenna Clark found Agata Filipa on the wing and her cross went over everyone’s head and found the far corner to make it four.
The fifth arrived shortly before half time when Kats doubled her tally for the evening with a free kick from the edge of the box that Gilmour couldn’t keep out.
The hosts improved after the break with Eva Thomson’s long range effort saved by Lee Alexander in the City goal while Gilmour denied Kats her hat-trick with a save from the Israeli international’s shot.
Both teams nearly scored directly from corners but there was no goals in the second half as City ensured the points headed back south.
Glasgow City are next in action on Sunday when we make the trip to Livingston to face Hibernian at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
