Ode Fulutudilu netted another hat trick this evening at Broadwood Stadium in what turned out to be a convincing 8-0 City win against Motherwell.

Two first half goals from Aiofe Colivill and one for Fulutudilu got the ball rolling as City dominated the game early on for their first home game of 2021.

Today’s scoreline brings City's total to 18 goals in their first three games after the restart, with goals also from Lauren Davidson and Leanne Crichton.

Fulutudilu and Colvill had several other chances in the first half, hitting them wide or over the crossbar, with Davidson also causing problems down the left.

Colvill was first to get on the scoresheet after just six minutes, with Fulutudilu bagging her first just six minutes later. Colvill got her second of the day as she smashed the ball in from close range in the 25th minute of play.

It wasn’t long after the half-time whistle before Fulutudilu received the ball in the six-yard box, turned and hammered the ball into the back of the net for her second of the day.

Motherwell immediately took the ball down the other end for what seemed to be the first real threat for Erin Clachers and the City backline.

The game quickly got beyond Motherwell after a ball across the front post from Fulutudilu was convincingly hit home with a first-time volley for Davidson. Fulutudilu then completed her hat trick just three minutes later as she tapped it in at the back post.

Moments later Davidson hit an absolute screamer from about 35-yards out for her second of the day.

With just nine minutes left in the game, the ball fell to Leanne Crichton on the edge of the box whose shot was too much for McGregor to keep hold of. Shortly after, her diving header from a free-kick went wide as City maintained the pressure on Motherwell.

In the 87th minute, Ross hit the crossbar from a penalty, before stepping up to a free-kick that was put over the bar.

Next up, City will travel to Edinburgh to face Hibernian away at Ainslie Park Stadium on Wednesday.
