Glasgow City maintained their three point lead at the top of the SWPL after a hard fought 3-1 victory at home to Spartans.
Three first half goals were enough with Arna Sif Ásgrimsdóttir, Jo Love and Ode Fulutudilu all getting on the scoresheet.
Kat Smart pulled one back for Spartans before Erin Clachers saw red with Jenna Clark playing in goal for the last ten minutes for City.
Fulutudilu had the first real chance of the game but her header from close range went just wide of the right hand post.
Spartans went even closer when a free kick fell to Smart, who lifted the ball over Clachers but Van Wyk got back to scoop the ball off the line from right under the crossbar.
City took the lead after 22 minutes when Ásgrimsdóttir bulleted a header home from close range after arriving late at the back post.
The lead was doubled just over ten minutes later when a lovely flowing City move found Love in the box and she calmly slotted the ball past Harrison in the Spartans goal to make it two.
City made it three a couple of minutes later thanks to another City goal from Fulutudilu as her shot found the top corner.
The hosts had chances to extend the lead at the start of the second half but Harrison denied Davidson and Chinchilla.
Fulutudilu was close to adding her second of the game but her shot went just wide of the far post.
Despite the chances, Spartans got one back midway through the second half when Smart stabbed the ball past Clachers.
The visitors confidence grew and City were then reduced to ten when Clachers was sent off after a coming together on the edge of the box with Clark playing the last ten minutes in the City goal after City had used up all their substitutions.
The resulting Spartans free kick was blocked by the wall and City held on to secure victory and all three points.
City are next in action on Sunday when we visit second placed Rangers live on BBC ALBA.
