Glasgow City begin defence of SWPL against Motherwell


Glasgow City will begin the defence of the Scottish Women’s Premier League at home to Motherwell on Sunday 5th of September.

City’s first away game of the season will be the following Sunday when we travel to face last season’s runners-up Celtic.

There are two newly promoted sides in the SWPL this season and City meet Hamilton Academical on matchday four at the end of September and travel north to face the SWPL2 champions Aberdeen a month later.

City’s final match of the season is away to Hibernian on Sunday 15th of May.

Before the SWPL season gets underway, City will be in action in the SWPL Cup group stage and the UEFA Women’s Champions League First Round.

Grant Scott’s first game in charge will be away to Glasgow Women in the SWPL Cup on the 8th of August.
