Glasgow City secured top spot in Group C in the SWPL Cup with a comfortable victory away to Hamilton Academical.

Six different goalscorers secured the victory with Taylor Fisher, Tyler Dodds and Agata Filipa all getting their first goals for the clubs. Ode Fulutudilu, Vital Kats and Jo Love completed the scoring.

City started well and had a chance within the first sixty seconds when a ball through from Claire Walsh found Clare Shine who controlled the ball on her chest before firing over the crossbar.

City made the breakthrough on the 17th minute. Ode Fulutudilu cut inside and shot with her right foot and the effort was saved but spilt right into the path of Fisher who tapped home for her first Glasgow City goal.

The visitors searched for a second with Shine having two efforts go over the crossbar before Fulutudilu found the net. Once again, the South African international cut inside on to her right foot and fired the ball low into the far corner.

Hamilton looked to threaten on the counter attack and had a chance when Josephine Giard was played through one on one with Erin Clachers but her shot failed to trouble the City goalkeeper.

Fulutudilu had the chance to add to her total when she was played through but was denied but a really good save from Rhind in the Hamilton Academical goal.

City started the second half on the front foot and went close when Priscila Chinchilla, a half time substitute, curled an effort from the edge of the box but the ball hit the post and bounced away and Hamilton cleared.

It was three ten minutes into the second half. Fulutudilu was once again involved as she drove into the box and saw her shot palmed but the ball fell to Kats who fired the ball into the back of the net.

Three became four just after the hour mark with Dodds getting her first goal for the club. Agata Filipa drove down the left wing and delivered a great ball across the face of goal for Dodds to tap home at the back post.

City went in search of more as they camped in the Hamilton half and created opportunities but it needed something special to break down the Hamilton defence. Agata Filipa received the ball midway inside the half and fired the ball into the top corner for her first goal for the club.

Jo Love made it six when she received the ball on the edge of the Hamilton penalty area and found the top corner leaving the Hamilton goalkeeper grasping at thin air.

The victory secures top spot in Group C.
