Glasgow City secured all three points at Petershill Park thanks to two penalties from Mairead Fulton along with goals from Tyler Dodds, Hayley Lauder, Clare Shine and Ode Fulutudilu.

Eileen Gleeson made two changes from the side that beat Partick Thistle last weekend with Erin Clachers replacing Lee Alexander between the sticks and Agata Filipa coming in for Megan Foley.

Jeni Currie made numerous brilliant saves when the sides met in the league back in January and she was called into action within the first 60 seconds as Priscila Chinchilla’s close range shot was saved.

City were given a golden opportunity to open the scoring on the eighth minute when a City break, led by Dodds, Kerry Beattie and Chinchilla ended when the Costa Rican international was brought down in the penalty area.

Fulton stepped up and placed the ball into the bottom right corner, just out of reach of Currie who had guessed the right way.

The lead doubled two minutes later when Dodds cut inside from the right wing and curled the ball over Currie and into the back of the net.

Two became three a few minutes later when a lovely one two between Beattie and Shine played in Lauder who calmly slotted the ball past Currie and into the bottom corner.

City continued to look dangerous with Currie forced into action to deny Fulton and Beattie both being denied by the Hamilton goalkeeper while the visitors threatened through Tiree Burchill, but her shot was deflected wide.

The second half started the same way as the first with the referee awarding a penalty to City when Chinchilla was fouled again. Fulton once again stepped up and went the opposite side but it was the same result for her second of the afternoon.

City made it five shortly before the hour mark when Shine fired home after good work from Chinchilla down the wing to drive to the byline before putting the ball into the box for the Irish striker.

The hosts had the ball in the back of the net shortly after through Abbi Grant but the assistant’s flag denied her however, City would get their sixth of the afternoon.

A lovely piece of play saw Lauder find space on the left wing and she delivered a cross for Fulutudilu to tap home from close range.

Burchill once again went close for Hamilton but her header went wide as Hamilton looked for a consolation as City secured all three points in the Petershill Park sun.
