Eight second half goals would ensure Glasgow City coasted through to the semi finals of the Scottish Cup with an 8-0 win over Stirling University.
Goals from Lauren Davidson (46), Kerry Beattie (48, 64), Priscila Chinchilla (59, 80, 85), Hayley Lauder (61) and Jenna Clark (88) would seal the win for Eileen Gleeson’s side.
Ode Fulutudilu, Peyton Perea, Abbi Grant and Lauren Davidson were all introduced to the side, as Gleeson looked to utilise the full strength of her squad.
The first chance of the game would fall to Beattie, who’s close range drive from Davidson’s cross almost sneaked in.
Perea then went even closer when she connected to a Lauder corner, but saw it go agonisingly wide. Chinchilla would be introduced shortly afterwards with Grant struggling with an early knock.
City would further dominate the first half, but a resolute Stirling defence would held an impressive back line up until the half time period.
However, the away side would start the second period in perfect fashion when Scotland international Davidson fired home with almost the first kick off the second 45.
Beattie would then hit a quick fire second, before a fine finish from the edge of the area from Chinchilla would put the champions fully in the driving seat.
A classy striker from captain Lauder would then add to the result, as the skipper smashed home a placed drive from 20 yards out.
Shortly afterwards Beattie would bag her brace when she poked home into the corner.
With City looking to add to the scoreline, Agata Filipa and Vital Kats would see efforts sail narrowly wide, before a long range effort from Tyler Dodds would see Mitchell fail to hold onto the ball, which welcomed Chinchilla to hit home from close range.
The Costa Rican would complete her hat trick moments later when she skipper round numerous defenders before curling home an inch perfect shot into the corner - the best goal of the night.
Clark would then complete the rout when she headed home another perfect Lauder cross to complete the scoring.
