Glasgow City ended the 2021/22 Scottish Women’s Premier League season with a goalless draw at Hibernian.

Eileen Gleeson made just the one change from the midweek victory over Aberdeen with Abbi Grant replacing Vital Kats.

City had the first effort on goal when Megan Foley’s long range effort went just over the crossbar while Lauren Davidson had a header go wide of the right hand post shortly after.

Hibernian themselves created chances with Amy Gallacher having an effort saved by Erin Clachers before the City goalkeeper denied Eilidh Adams in a first half that was mainly a battle in the midfield.

The visitors had the first chance of the second half when Grant slipped the ball to Davidson but her effort went the wrong side of the right hand post.

On the hour mark, Clachers was called back into action to save a strike from Adams before a big tackle from Claire Walsh denied the Hibs striker from getting a shot on goal.

As the game went into the final ten minutes both sides were looking for a winner with Colette Cavanagh volleying the ball over the crossbar from inside the penalty box before Walsh had an effort saved by Gabby English.

Cavanagh had another chance for Hibernian in stoppage time but her effort was well saved by Clachers at the front post.

A point apiece to end the 2021/22 SWPL season with City in action for the final time this season in two weeks time at Tynecastle Park for the Biffa Scottish Women’s Cup Final.
