Glasgow City are delighted to confirm the signing of forward Abbi Grant on a permanent basis.
Now into her third stint at City, Grant had originally re-joined on a 6-month-loan deal in January from Women’s Super League side Leicester City, however, the club are delighted to confirm Abbi is now back for good, as she signs a permanent deal at Petershill Park.
Capped 7 times by Scotland, the forward is well known to City fans having scored 69 goals for the club already alongside winning four Scottish Women’s Premier League titles, two Scottish Cups and an SWPL Cup.
On signing a permanent deal at the Peasy, Grant said:
"Glasgow City is like home to me.
I’m delighted to have signed a permanent deal for the upcoming season and I’m excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to get started again with the team.”
Head Coach Eileen Gleeson commented:
"I am delighted that Abbi is to extend her time with Glasgow City FC. I look forward to working with Abbi further during the upcoming season.
“Abbi shares a great history with Glasgow City and truly understands what it means to be a Glasgow City player.
“ Abbi is a skilful creative player and sure to be an exciting watch for Glasgow City FC fans and Scottish women’s football fans alike.”
