On Sunday 16th March we host Hibernian in what will be our 500th Scottish Women's Premier League game. We've come a long way since that first game and as we face another exciting run in we wanted to take a moment to celebrate all those players who have helped blaze our trail.
Whether their impact has been fleeting or more long-lasting their stories are woven into the fabric of the club. All 230 players are Original Trailblazers, supported by coaches and staff who have believed in our dream for a bright, sustainable future for women and girls in football.
As part of the celebration players will be invited to Petershill Park as our guests for a fixture against a side who we have had our fair share of history with too.
A NEW TRADITION BEGINS
As a club we want to celebrate all those who have helped shape our journey, as such a new instillation will be added to the walls of our home, signed by all players. Past, present and the new arrivals of the future.
A visible and evolving piece of history that will acknowledge those who have been a part of the club and be a reminder to those who charged with blazing trails today.
For Chief Executive Laura Montgomery, who along with fellow co-founder Carol Anne Stewart, founded the club in 1998 it signifies another important milestone for the club.
''When Cas and I started Glasgow City, we dreamed of establishing a club that gave women and girls who loved football as much as we do a place to call home.
To still be competing at the elite level of the game today is testament to every fan, player, coach and member of staff who has believed in our journey.
The Scottish Women's Premier League is a competition where we have experienced some of our most memorable moments and we remain solid in our commitment to not only grow women's football at an elite level in Scotland but for everyone.''

ARE YOU AN ORIGINAL TRAILBLAZER?
We have been delving through our contact books to ensure that every player has the opportunity to join us on the day. If you are, or know someone who has played for the club then please contact cas.stewart@glasgowcityfc.co.uk.
A special note of thanks has to be given to supporter Christopher Meikle who's dedication to meticulous archive keeping has allowed us to celebrate this achievement.
