Amy Anderson Extends Stay With Glasgow City

We are excited to confirm that midfielder Amy Anderson has committed her future to the club, signing a new two-year contract which will run until the summer of 2028

The 28-year-old, who signed her first professional football contract when she joined us in July 2024 and was formerly a player in our Academy, has made 38 senior appearances and scored six goals to date.

Her first goal for the club came against Athlone Town at Petershill Park during our impressive UEFA Europa Cup run earlier this season.

Upon extending her stay with us, Amy said: “I'm over the moon. I'm really happy to be here for a further two years.

"After being involved as much as I have this season, it just makes me more eager and more hungry for bringing success."

Prior to rejoining City, Amy left our Academy to play for Hamilton Accies, where in 2019 she was named SWPL 2 Player of the Year as the Lanarkshire club claimed the second division title.

A move to hometown club Motherwell beckoned in 2021, and she went on to enjoy three successful seasons with the Women of Steel before making her return to City.

Join Amy and the rest of the team for Split Season as we look to write the next chapter of this season's story.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available. If you want to sponsor Amy, get in touch with our commercial team: cas.stewart@glasgowcityfc.co.uk
