As we reach the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month we want to re-iterate our message. Don't ignore the signs of breast cancer.
Breast cancer remains the most common cancer in the UK and can happen at any age and it is not just women who are affected. The earlier the detection the better the chance of successful treatment.
Over half of women do not check their breasts regularly for potential breast cancer with only 45% of women in 2024 checking their breasts regularly, down from 49% in 2022.
One in seven women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime while 99% of new cases are detected in women.
As a club we want to continue to use our platform to encourage healthy conversation as it relates to breast cancer.
With the support of our medical team you can find a number of useful hints and tips for early detection by clicking the link below to our Instagram stories.
Sometimes though, real life experience and conversations can help in opening up on the signs of breast cancer. With that in mind Jo Love, Fiona Brown and Hayley Lauder took the time to sit down and share their experiences with breast cancer.
Answering some of the questions we should all be talking about.
You can watch that conversation here.
