Glasgow City returned to winning ways after a narrow 1-0 win against Montrose at Petershill Park.
Cori Sullivan’s first half goal was the difference as City picked up all three points in the SWPL match.
City had made six changes going into the game and they started well as an early succession of corners ended with Lauren Davidson shooting just wide of Lauren Perry’s goal.
At the other end, Aimee Ridgeway fired just over from distance as the wind and rain made things difficult for both teams.
Sullivan then cut inside from the left but her shot went narrowly wide before Ridgeway hit the post at the other end.
City broke the deadlock after 22 minutes when a good run from Davidson on the right allowed her to play the ball across the box to the far post where Sullivan was unmarked and able to turn the cross home.
A well worked corner saw Aleigh Gambone’s shot saved before Sullivan tried to catch Perry out with an looping effort from distance but the Montrose keeper reacted well to save.
Montrose did have the ball in the net in the second half after Carter thought she had converted from a freekick but the flag was quickly up for offside.
With the wind now behind City, Anna Oscarsson tried her luck from range but her effort was over the bar.
As City looked to wrap up the points in the final stages, the ball dropped to Hayley Lauder in the box but she volleyed over before Amy Muir cut inside and saw her shot well saved.
Sullivan had the final chance in stoppage time when her cross-cum-shot was turned round the post following a fine save from Perry.
