It is that time again. City are back in European action tonight, hosting Portuguese giants Sporting Clube de Portugal in the UEFA Europa Cup Round of 16 at Petershill Park.
Last Time Out
Our last match in Europe at the Peasy was nothing short of a thrilling encounter. Coming into the clash 2-1 down on aggregate from the away leg in Denmark, we defeated HB Køge 5-3 on home turf to progress to the Round of 16.
On the scoresheet for City on that iconic night were Abi Harrison, Emily Whelan, a Køge own goal, Emma Brownlie, and Academy graduate Lisa Forrest, who headed home the winner in the 92nd minute.
City go into this evening's match off the back of cup action, having defeated Aberdeen 2-0 in the quarter-finals of the Sky Sports Cup at Petershill last weekend.
Nicole Kozlova and Katie Lockwood netted our goals in the 70th and 75th minutes, respectively.
Previous Meeting
This will be the first meeting between the two sides and the first time that City have faced Portuguese opposition in a competitive match.

Nearest Transport Links: Both Springburn and Barnhill train stations are less than ten minutes walk from the ground. There are a number of bus routes from Glasgow city centre (57 and 57A & 87, 88, 89 and 89B).
