City booked our place in the Second Qualifying Round of the UEFA Europa Cup after defeated Athlone Town 3-0 in the second leg and 6-0 on aggregate.
Emily Whelan, a Dublin native, opened the scoring after 33 minutes in Ireland, before second-half substitute Nicole Kozlova scored a quickfire brace, with goals in the 80th and 82nd minute, which confirmed our progression to the next stage.
We will discover our opponents for the Second Qualifying Round when the draw takes place from UEFA's headquarters in Nyon on Friday at 2pm.
There was a 100th City appearance for Amy Muir, who captained the side this evening, with there being three changes from last week's home leg as Hayley Lauder, Natalia Wróbel, and Whelan were all introduced.
City dominated possession in the opening stages but there was no early breakthrough, whilst the home side looked to threaten from a free-kick conceded by Lisa Forrest, however, it was well defended by Kimberley Smit.
We took the lead after 33 minutes when Natalia Wróbel whipped the ball into the box from the right flank and it was met by the head of Whelan. She guided it home at the back post, scoring her first goal of the season in her home country.
In the second half, the hosts registered the first opportunity with a Hannah Waesch strike from distance, but it failed to trouble Lee Gibson in the City goal as it trailed wide of her post.
Just after the hour mark, we had our best chances of the second half when Smit headed just wide from a Lisa Evans corner, before Athlone goalkeeper Maria Matthaiou denied Linda Motlhalo's powerful strike from range.
After coming off the bench, Ireland international Erín McLaughlin was denied her homecoming goal as her effort from 20 yards out was saved by a diving Matthaiou.
With 15 minutes left to go, a good combination from substitutes Mebae Tanka and Nicole Kozlova saw the former play the ball into the latter, but she could not meaningfully connect with it and the ball was gathered by the home goalkeeper.
Moments later, City were gifted an opportunity when Kozlova intercepted the ball from a poor pass at the back, but our No.19 could not beat the goalkeeper and it went behind for a corner.
But Kozlova would get her goals as she scored a late quickfire double. Her first came when she missed a penalty, awarded for an Athlone handball, but headed home the rebound before tapping in a Muir cross from a few yards out only two minutes later.
And it could have been another in injury time when the ball landed at the feet of midfielder Amy Anderson from a corner, but our No.14's powerful strike came back off the crossbar.
