A first half hat trick from Lisa Forrest helped Glasgow City to a comfortable 0-10 win over Rossvale in the Scottish Cup.

Goals from Forrest (2, 16, 31), Jo Love (16), Cori Sullivan (29, 53), Lauren Davidson (38 pen, 41 pen), Aleigh Gambone (59) and Kinga Kozak (73) saw the 'away' side cruise through to Round Four of the Scottish Gas Women's Scottish Cup.

Head coach Leanne Ross was able to hand club captain Love her first start since October 2021 while Erin Clachers and Chloe Warrington also came into the starting XI.

And it was City who got off to the perfect start at Petershill when Forrest tapped home from close range with just over 60 seconds on the clock before Love tapped home a rebound at close range following Cunningham's fine save.

Forrest's turn and shot would have City three to the good just after the quarter of an hour mark and a rocket of a shot from American winger Sullivan would put Ross' side fully in the driving seat before a defensive mistake from Rossvale allowed Forrest to tap home her hat trick.

Davidson would then continue her own fine scoring streak with two well placed penalties and Sullivan would grab her own brace just after the break from close range.

Fine wing play from Sullivan moments later would allow her American team mate Gambone to blast into an empty net just before the hour mark and Polish international Kozak ensured it was a double figure score line from close range.

City: Clachers, Warrington, Oscarsson (Moore), Wardlaw, Muir, Davidson (Larkin), Love (Fulton), Gambone, Sullivan, Forrest, Whelan (Martin).

Rossvale: Cunningham, Allan, Jackson, Cullie, Martin, Newman, McQuillan, O'Toole, Holmes, MacLeod, Whiteford.
