We returned to the top of the Scottish Women's Premier League table with a professional display against a battling Montrose, securing an 8-0 victory at a bitterly cold Petershill Park.
Leanne Ross' shuffled her pack as Chloe Warrington, club captain Jo Love, Katie Lockwood and Nicole Kozlova all came into the starting line up.
It would be a game City would dominant throughout and, after Lisa Evans had a header ruled out for offside, the opener would come with fourteen minutes on the clock.
A bouncing ball found Aleigh Gambone in close proximity but it would be a Montrose body to get the last touch as the ball crept over the line to open the scoring.
The second came two minutes later as Samantha van Diemen made it two goals in two games, her low free-kick from the edge of the area finding the corner of Rowena Armitage's goal.
We were building up a head of steam, Ukraine international Nicole Kozlova made it three, heading in at the back post after a Claire Walsh flick on as the goal rush continued.
Montrose couldn't stop the home pressure and a fourth arrived from the penalty spot as striker Brenna Lovera continued her prolific run. Converting after Amy Muir was brought down in the area.
One minute later it was five, club captain Jo Love scoring her 99th Glasgow City goal, striking home first time from the corner of the six yard box.
Kimberley Smit and Lisa Forrest entered the game at the interval and Smit in particular would be a key protagonist as we continued the search for goals.
The Dutch defender would get on the end of a cross ball and smash it towards goal where the unfortunate Georgia Carter would end up getting the final touch. But Smit wasn't to be denied, and eleven minutes later get her first goal for the club, again reacting quickest in a busy area to drive the ball home.
An eighth and final goal would come in injury time as a driving run from Smit released fellow substitute Lisa Forrest, with the Scotland youth international's cross turned into her own net by Montrose defender Cassie Cowper.
City return to the top of the table with the visit of second-placed Celtic next up this coming Friday evening.
