Glasgow City are pleased to announce the extension of it's successful partnership with elite performance support supplier Athlete Focused for an additional three years as the club continues its investment in both First Team and Academy Squads with this new agreement seeing the partnership reach an eight year milestone.
Since its inception Athlete Focused have supported in enhancing the club's performance infrastructure and providing bespoke sports science and nutritional support while also working with the club to provide invaluable opportunities for female sports science students, as both parties continue on their mission to help redress the balance in sport.
In 2023 the partnership was recognised on a national level when it was awarded Best Partnership at the prestigious Scottish Women in Sport Awards.
Andy White, Director of Athlete Focused, reflected on the journey: “The growth of the club has been almost indescribable from the first sessions I did with the first team 5 years ago.''
''At that time, there was no sport science team and very little medical cover for the first team, let alone gym facilities and GPS systems. Now, there is a growing staff structure and great facilities for all of the players in the club. The players themselves have bought into everything we have implemented and we can't wait to help the club continue to push boundaries over the next 3 years.”
