Glasgow City Launch Hall of Fame

Glasgow City Launch Hall of Fame

This season we have strived to bring the past and present of our club closer together as we continue our passion for growing a club for women and girls everywhere.

The club of today, which now operates a full-time first team squad and staff alongside an academy with over 150 girls playing the game we all love, would not exist if it weren't for the people who have came before.

With this in mind, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Glasgow City Football Club Hall of Fame, a celebration of all those who have believed in the dreams that Laura Montgomery and Carol-Anne Stewart set out to achieve when they formed a club that puts women and girls at the heart of everything they do in 1998.

At this year's Player of the Year Award taking place on Thursday 8th May 2025, at event partners voco Grand Central in the heart of the city we call home - we will open the doors for our first class of inductees.
Chief Executive, and one of the club's co-founders Laura Montgomery had the following to say on the creation of the Hall of Fame.

“We are delighted to officially launch our Hall of Fame. We have had so many unbelievable individuals join our journey over the past 27 years that the hardest part has been naming only a few in our inaugural event.
The contributions of many has led to us becoming the club we are today, but there have been some incredibly special people who have made a significant mark.
Without them, we would not have enjoyed the milestones, the success and the moments that have not only shaped Glasgow City, but helped us shape the whole of Scottish Women’s Football together. Cas and I are extremely grateful for all that they have given us and for the impact they have made. On behalf of us both, thank you.”

The Class of 2025 will be inducted by Laura and fellow co-founder Carol Anne Stewart on the night.
