Despite a strong performance in Airdrie on Sunday it was a narrow defeat for City with Chloe Craig's penalty the difference as Celtic claimed a 1-0 victory.
Hearts moved to the top of the SWPL table courtesy of a 5-0 victory at home to city rivals Spartans. A Sade Adamolekun double along with goals from Joely Andrews, former City striker Lauren Wade and Lizzie Waldie continuing the Jambos strong start to the season.
