We booked a spot in next month's Scottish Cup Semi Finals at Hampden thanks to a 3-2 extra time victory over Hearts in an all-action quarter-final tie at Oriam.
It would be a game that would swing from one side to the other, although the early stages suggested that the visitors would be in for a comfortable afternoon as we dominated territory and possession.
The early dominance eventually paid off with twenty-four minutes on the clock.
A sustained press won the ball back inside the Hearts half before the ball found Katie Lockwood who had come on as an early substitute for Emily Whelan. Her perfectly timed cutback hit the feet of Nicole Kozlova who struck home to give City a well deserved lead.
City continued to dictate play in the opening period but couldn't add a second and the home side drew level just before the break as Bayley Hutchison prodded home.
The start of the second half would see the pendulum swing towards Hearts. City remained competitive but Hutchison would again find herself on the scoresheet to put Eva Olid's side ahead with a fizzing effort.
Leanne Ross' made a triple change as we chased an equaliser and one of those, Lisa Forrest would smash home in the 89th minute as the orange waves crashed towards Charlotte Parker-Smith's goal, but the action wasn't done yet as in injury time of the ninety Lizzie Waldie received a second yellow card after bringing down Motlhalo.
City seized their opportunity with a player advantage in extra-time and in the 98th minute a whipped Maddie Fulton corner found Kimberley Smit for the Dutch defender to score the winner and secure our place in Monday night's draw, as we managed the remaining minutes of the game out.
We will now face either Aberdeen, Motherwell or Rangers in the semi-final but before that it's a return to league action as we host Hibernian in our 500th SWPL game.
