Glasgow City secured their spot in the last eight of the Sky Sports Cup with a 3-2 victory over Hearts at Oriam in a cup tie that was contested until the very last.
Wilma Forsblom, Brenna Lovera and Lisa Forrest all returned to the starting line up as we travelled to face a side who were defeated 2-1 in the league earlier this season.
The game got off to the perfect start as with seven minutes on the clock Forsblom opened the scoring, putting a well struck effort inside the area past an outstretched Parker-Smith in the Hearts goal.
City continued to create the best chances of the half and both Aleigh Gambone and Lovera saw efforts kiss the foot of the post while Forsblom and Forrest also went close to doubling the visitors lead.
However, it would be Eva Olid's side that would draw level just before half time after Sade Adamolekun poked home following attacking pressure.
Not long into the second period the game swung back in Leanne Ross' side's favour when Dutch defender Samantha van Diemen struck home after the home side failed to clear a corner.
With seven minutes left to play it looked like City had safely secured their passage into the Quarter-Finals when Eilidh Shore turned home a Lisa Forrest cross but a nervy finish was to be had when substitute Jackie Richards pulled a goal back for the Jambos as the game ticked into injury time.
Despite a late flurry the City defence, including a returning Claire Walsh, would hold on as the referee blew the final whistle with ninety-nine minutes on the clock.
City will now find out their quarter-final opponents this coming Tuesday afternoon with the draw broadcast live on Sky Sports.
