The points were shared at Oriam as Glasgow City were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw against Hearts. We dominated in the second half, but could not find that all important winner.
Two changes were made from our midweek match against Rangers, with Claire Walsh and Sofia Maatta replacing Kimberley Smit and Emily Whelan.
It was a fast start from the hosts with Lee Gibson called into action inside the opening minute when she made a diving stop to deny Georgia Timms, who sent a headed effort towards goal.
Hearts then hit the post when they broke on the counterattack, before Bayley Hutchison saw her rebounded strike deflected onto the roof of the net by one of our defenders.
Our best chances inside the opening half an hour saw Matta have a shot blocked and from the same move Amy Muir struck a long-range effort which went wide of the post.
Katie Lockwood soon saw a powerful strike well held by Hearts goalkeeper Charlotte Parker-Smith, while Maatta - who had switched over to the left side - fashioned another opportunity.
As the first half came to a close, the home side were gifted an opportunity which saw Timms through on goal, with only Gibson to beat. The forward directed her shot wide of the target, much to City's relief.
And before the half was up, City had a great chance of our own. Brenna Lovera sent an inviting pass across the face of goal, which only needed a touch from Maatta at the back post, but the Finnish international couldn't quite reach it.
In the second half, the first real opportunity for either side was a tame strike from Hearts' Lisa Robertson. We fashioned a chance when a superb pass from van Diemen threaded Nicole Kozlova through down the left, but her dangerous ball into the box was not met by any in orange and black.
With 15 minutes left to go, City were on top, but back-to-back corners led to nothing with substitute Emily Whelan creating two chances. Her first was saved by the Hearts goalkeeper and the other wide of the target.
City were applying pressure in the final stages, with Lovera having a great opportunity to bag the winner in injury time, but the forward's effort was directed straight at Parker-Smith.
