International Duty Debrief

It's been a busy international window for the Glasgow City squad. As they get back together ahead of the end of season run-in we give you a whistle stop tour of how they got on.

SWNT: Amy Muir and Lee Gibson

Co-captains Amy Muir and Lee Gibson were selected to represent Scotland for two fixtures against Belgium in the FIFA Women's World Cup Qualifiers. Amy replaced Emma Lawton in the 53rd minute at Easter Road and played the remainder, ending in a 1-1 draw.

Flying over to Belgium, Amy played the full 90 minutes as Scotland kept a clean sheet during a 0-0 draw which saw Scotland remain top of their qualifying group table.

Scotland U23: Erin Clachers and Lisa Forrest 

Scotland U23 headed to Spain for two international friendlies with Lisa Forrest and Erin Clachers named in the squad. Both players were in the starting line-ups for both fixtures, with Ez acting as captain for the first tie. 

Scotland faced France in a tough opening game, losing 1-0, followed by a 0-0 draw against Denmark before a narrow defeat on penalties.

Scotland U19: Cara Gray and Sophia Martin 

Scotland U19 played a three match campaign for the UEFA Women's Under-19 EURO 2026 Qualifiers with Cara Gray and Sophia Martin included in the squad.

Scotland began their campaign with an impressive 2-1 win against Austria, Sophia scoring the winning penalty in the 88th minute.

Scotland followed that impressive victory with a strong performance, defeating North Macedonia 9-0 with Cara replacing Laura Berry at half-time.  

The campaign would end with a narrow 2-1 defeat, in which Sophia featured in the opening half.

Slovenia: Lana Golob 

Lana represented Slovenia against Norway in the FIFA Women's World Cup Qualifiers.

She was named in the starting line up for the first fixture before coming off at half-time.

South Africa: Linda Motlhalo

Linda Motlhalo captained South African for a pair of international friendlies against Algeria with Banyana Banyana securing two victories, winning 1-0 and 2-0. 

The players rejoined their team mates this week and we now return to the ScottishPower Women's Premier League this Friday 24th April at Firhill Stadium against Partick Thistle.
