Leanne Ross is delighted with how pre-season has progressed at City, with her squad concluding preparations with a 3-1 win over Women's Super League 2 side Sheffield United.
We had to come from 1-0 down to do so, with our English opponents scoring 15 minutes in. An equaliser from Lisa Forrest followed by second-half goals from Lana Golob and Natalia Wróbel ensured we ended pre-season on a positive note.
Having played five friendlies since returning from the summer break, Head Coach Ross believes her side are in a good place ahead of next weekend's Scottish Women's Premier League opener against Motherwell at Petershill Park.

She said: "We planned pre-season well in terms of the build-up and the type of opponent that we play - and the challenges we will face over the season.
"We've ended it today with the toughest opponent we've had in pre-season. It was pleasing to see the performance, especially after going a goal behind.
"We corrected a few things after that goal and we've been able to take control of the game from there.
"It's really pleasing to see them take on board all the information we've given them through pre-season. We've been able to apply it, and now we can look forward with confidence to the start of the season."
Pre-season has allowed Ross and her squad to fine tune the elements of their game before the competitive football begins. It, she says, is something which City fans should look forward to.
Our Head Coach said: "From what I saw today after going a goal down, that bit of grit and determination, we won't be phased by challenges.
"We will stick to our principles and play the way we want to play. We've managed to go through pre-season and build on that, feeding the information to the players.
"Especially for the new players, taking that on board and now being able to create that fluid structure in and out of possession - I hope the fans will be excited by what they see."
And Ross has been particularly pleased with how well her five new recruits - Louisa Boyes, Emma Brownlie, Abi Harrison, Erín McLaughlin and Lana Golob - have integrated into the squad.
They have already gelled with the squad both on and off the park, and she can't wait to see how that develops when the competitive campaign begins.
She added: "You walk into the changing room and it's a happier place. You can see the relationships forming and it is a more productive environment.
"That's probably been the most pleasing thing because when you bring new players in, you're never sure how they will fit in, but they have really added to what we have here.
"It's exciting to go into a new season with a different group of players and with a different set of challenges."
