Lee Gibson extends deal until 2027

We are excited to confirm that co-captain Lee Gibson has signed a new one-year-contract with the club.

The goalkeeper who was shortlisted for both the PFA Scotland SWPL Player of the Year and Scottish Football Writers' Association SWPL Player of the Year has continued to show why she is one of the best stoppers Scotland has produced.

Remaining a key part of Melissa Andreatta's SWNT squad she will join up with the national team at the end of our current campaign as they continue to plot a path to next summer's World Cup in Brazil.

Earlier this season she surpassed 300 appearances for the club over two spells and was appointed co-captain at the start of the 2025/26 season leading the club to a record equaling seventh Sky Sports Cup in the process.

Speaking on her decision to extend her stay at the club Lee, who last night was recognised by fellow players and staff at last night's Player of the Year Awards had the following message to share. "I'm delighted to extend my stay. I've been here a long, long time and I love the club. I've got a second family here."

Head Coach Leanne Ross was also pleased to secure Lee's services for another season. ''Lee has always been a top level goalkeeper but this season she has pushed herself to new heights.

She is already a club legend I'm delighted that she has chosen to extend her stay with us.''
