Our final match of the month of February is a trip north to face Aberdeen at the Balmoral Stadium.

Match Information:

The return of SWPL action see’s a repeat of our last match before the International break as we face Aberdeen.

The Opposition:

It’s Aberdeen’s second season in the top flight after promotion in 2021. The Dons have found life a little harder this year and defeat against City would consign them to the bottom six.

Youngester Bayley Hutchison is Aberdeen’s top goalscorer with five in all competitions.

Previous Meetings:

This is the fourth meeting between Glasgow City and Aberdeen this season but the first at the Balmoral Stadium. The previous SWPL match between the sides was tight with an Emily Whelan strike securing the three points for City before both cup meetings ending in 5-0 victories for City.

Form Guide:

Glasgow City sit top of the SWPL with, three points clear of Celtic having only failed to win two league matches this season.

Aberdeen have improved since the turn of the year having won three games in all competitions as they aim to avoid the relegation play off.

Both sides last match was the Scottish Cup meeting that saw City progress to the Quarter Finals with a 5-0 victory.
