A late Danique Ypema strike saw us fall to a narrow 1-0 defeat in the top of the table ScottishPower Women's Premier League clash at Petershill Park.
Team News
There were four changes from the side who faced Hibernian midweek as Hayley Lauder, Abi Harrison, Emma Brownlie, and Lisa Evans, making her 100th appearance for the club, returned to the starting line up.
Match Action from Petershill Park
In an even opening exchange we had the better of the early chances as both Natalia Wróbel and Lisa Evans were denied from the edge of the area before a swinging Kimberley Smit drive from range stung the palms of Carolina Vilão.
We continued to control the opening half and Linda Motlhalo was next to try her luck from range but her efforts would go just wide.
Hearts made a double change at the break with Vilão replaced by Rachael Johnstone and Joely Andrews making way for Eilidh Shore but it would be City who again had the best chance as a Sofia Määttä drive fizzed wide.
Hayley Lauder was next to try her luck as she curled one from range but Juhnstone at full stretch clawed it away from the top corner before Johnstone was on hand again to deny Määttä after the Finnish winger cut inside.
But despite the domination it would be the visitors who would claim victory as Danique Ypema's low drive from the edge of the area would prove to be the difference.
