Motherwell v Glasgow City Preview - SWPL Matchday Seven

This Sunday we head back to K Park to visit Paul Brownlie's Motherwell for matchday seven of the 2024/25 Scottish Women's Premier League season as we look to continue building momentum.

Last Time Out

City moved level on the points at the top of the table courtesy of an 8-0 win over Queen's Park in East Kilbride last week.

Nicole Kozlova led the way with a hat-trick to take her tally to six for the season, a mark she was joined on by Sofia Määttä with the Finnish winger scoring a double. Goals from Natalia Wróbel, Lisa Forrest and Aleigh Gambone completed the scoring.

Seventh placed Motherwell suffered defeat last time out as they hosted Partick Thistle at Fir Park. Tiree Burchill and Hannah Robinson had the visitors ahead at the break before an Emily Mutch own goal and a late Emma Lawton goal completed a 4-0 victory for Thistle.

The Women of Steel had a busy final day of the transfer window as Megan Cross departed for Celtic with youngsters Lucy Barclay and a returning Laura Berry coming in on loan from Celtic and Rangers respectively.

While the side's met in pre-season action before the start of the 2024/25 season the last competitive meeting between the two sides took place earlier this year as a Lauren Davidson double and an own goal secured a league victory at K Park.
