We are ecstatic to confirm that Ukrainian international and PFA Scotland SWPL Player of the Year Nicole Kozlova has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
Nic arrived in the summer of 2024 having previously played with Danish side HB Køge and has gone on to become one of the SWPL's most potent attacking threats.
This season she has twice won SWPL Player of the Month, in both September and February, and was voted as the PFA Scotland SWPL Player of the Year by her peers.
An ACL injury sustained whilst on international duty with Ukraine in March brought her season to a premature end but we are delighted to have her continuing her journey with us as we continue to support Nic through the rehab process.
Speaking on the news Nic, who's new contract sees the forward commit to City until the summer of 2029, had the following message to share.
''I’m really excited to be extending my time at City. It’s become my second home. I love the club, the girls, and I’ve really grown to love life in Scotland.
The support from everyone at the club and the fans since my injury has meant so much. There’s still a long way to go, but I can’t wait to be back playing at the Peasy in front of you all.''
Head Coach Leanne Ross was equally excited to have Nic remain a part of her squad.
''Nic has developed into one of the leagues best forwards and even though injury curtailed her season she has remained an important part of the squad. It is easy for a player's head to go down but she shows up each day willing to put in the work to get where we all know she can be.
We will continue to be with her every step of the way through her recovery and look forward to having her back playing on the pitch once the rehabilitation process is complete.''
