Glasgow City are excited to announce the signing of Polish international midfielder Natalia Wróbel from Danish side Brøndby with the 20-year-old signing a three year deal at the club.
An attacking midfielder, Wróbel signed for Brøndby from hometown club UJ Krakow and despite her young years has already been capped 19 times by the Polish national team after making her debut against Kosovo in 2021.
On signing for Glasgow City Natalia said:
“I think it’s a great club that gives opportunities to young players to develop and reach their goals. I’m looking forward to the first game and showing my abilities to the fans and everyone at the club.”
Quote from Glasgow City Head Coach Leanne Ross on signing Natalia:
"Natalia has been on the club’s radar for a while now, so it is exciting to finally welcome her to Glasgow City. Her ambition and values shine through and it is pleasing to see they align perfectly with those of the club as we prepare to face the challenges of a new season.
"Playing in central areas, Natalia has the awareness and ability to receive the ball under pressure and be a creative influence by driving forward with the ball or using her range of passing to split defences and create goal scoring opportunities. In wide areas, her athleticism, close control and dribbling ability allow her to beat opponents to create crossing or shooting opportunities from dangerous areas."
"I have high expectations for Natalia and the next step in her promising career here at Glasgow City. Her style of play will entertain and excite, while her ability to create and score goals will be a huge asset to the team."
