The Opposition:
Hamilton Academical are in their second season back in the top flight of Scottish Women’s football following promotion in 2021. Last season, the Accies finished bottom but were saved from relegation due to league increasing to 12 teams.
This season, Hamilton are looking to improve and move up the table and avoid any relegation battles in May. Currently sitting 9th, Gary Doctor’s side are five points clear of the relegation play off spot and will have their eyes set on moving further up the table as the season progresses.
Previous Meetings:
Hamilton Academical and Glasgow City met in all three competitions last season with City coming out victorious in all five matches. The two trips to New Douglas Park were early in the season with Hamilton taking the lead in the SWPL fixture before City turned it around to win 3-1.
On aggregate the five games last year finished 22-1 in favour of Glasgow City.

After a promising start to the season, Hamilton Academical have lost their lost four games however, they have played three of last season’s top four in that run of fixtures. The Accies started the season brightly with two wins in their opening three SWPL matches including over Aberdeen at New Douglas Park.
Last time out, Hibernian scored eight as Hamilton exited the SWPL Cup,
City have a 100% record in the SWPL after six victories to start the season. On the road, City have yet to concede a goal with a 1-0 win over Motherwell and a 4-0 victory over Hibernian the only two away fixtures City have played so far this season.
City’s last match saw us progress to the Quarter Finals of the SWPL Cup with a 5-0 victory over Aberdeen.
