The Opposition:

In their second season in the top flight, Partick Thistle are looking up and aiming for a top half finish.

Brian Graham’s side showed they were up for the challenge in their maiden SWPL campaign last season with notable results including victory over Hibernian.

Partick Thistle have a few familiar faces in their squad with Jordan McLintock and Taylor Fisher some of the ex-City players in their squad.

Previous Meetings:

Glasgow City and Partick Thistle met for the first time in the club’s history’s last season with five meetings in total. City won all five with two goal victory margins in all three SWPL games however, Partick took the lead in the first meeting between the sides.

In the cups, City were comfortable 5-0 winners in the SWPL Cup Quarter Final but it was much tighter in the Scottish Cup Semi Final at the Falkirk Stadium with City needing a late goal to take a two goal lead and book a place in the Final.

After a tough start to the season for Partick Thistle were they collected only two points from their opening five games, Brian Graham’s side have found their form again and are unbeaten in their last five, winning four of them.

This improved run of form has seen the Jags move up to fifth in the table.
