Glasgow City defender Samantha van Diemen has been shortlisted for the PFA Scotland SWPL Player of the Year award.
The 23-year-old - who was also named in the PFA Team of the Year - has enjoyed an impressive campaign in Scotland since arriving from Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands.
With City still well in the hunt for the Scottish Women's Premier League title, van Diemen has played in each of our 27 league games to date, scoring three times and registering five assists from the backline.
"I'm really happy with the nomination," van Diemen said. "It's my teammates that got me here to this point.
"I've become more confident here. When you come from a point with so little confidence, you have to believe in yourself and that is the main thing I have got that back here.
"We haven't won any titles or cups yet, so that is the biggest thing to come, but I don't feel like this is my ceiling yet. There are so many more things I can improve in and so much more to come."
Congrats, Sam!
van Diemen is nominated for the PFA POTY award alongside Eilidh Adams (Hibernian), Emma Lawton (Celtic) and Katie Wilkinson (Rangers).
