We started 2026 by booking our place in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup with an emphatic 6-0 win over Queen's Park at Petershill Park.
It was an afternoon of braces at the Peasy as Lisa Forrest, Natalia Wróbel and Emma Brownlie all bagged two goals each to secure safe passage to the next round of the cup competition.
Match Action from Petershill Park
In this fourth-round contest, there was just one change from the XI from the previous stage, as Emily Whelan replaced Sofia Määtta down the wing.
There was also a place on the bench for Tao Stark, who was named in her first City matchday squad since signing on a pre-contract back in November.
After dominating the early stages, the first shot on target fell to Whelan in the 10th minute, but her strike from outside of the box was comfortably gathered by visiting goalkeeper Jasmine McPhie.

Moments later, City won a succession of corners, one of which saw Abi Harrison's glancing header diverted wide of the post.
Linda Motlhalo almost netted the opener when a ball was whipped in by Harrison and bundled goal wards from a couple yards out by our No.20, but her effort was blocked by the goalkeeper and then cleared by the Queen's Park defence.
Our best opportunity of the game so far came when an unmarked Wróbel hit a strike on the edge of the area which was blocked and sent behind for a corner.
City kept pushing and finally got the opener when Forrest hit a strike towards goal that found its way in the back of the net, despite a crowded goalmouth scramble by the visitors to get it clear.
We were denied a second soon after when Wróbel connected with a ball sent in from the right, and her first-touch strike was saved by a diving McPhie.
Brownlie soon made it 2-0, though, scoring her second of the season when she fired the ball towards goal after it landed at her feet from a ball sent in to the back post.

And it was 3-0 just over five minutes later when Wróbel unleashed a sensational strike from outside the box that came back off the inside of the post and rolled over the line.
Wróbel would bag her brace just moments later when she smashed a Lisa Evans cross into the back of the net with her first touch as she found good space rushing into the box.
Our No.10 was on the hunt for her hat-trick, hitting the first chance of the second half as her long-range strike was sent over the top of the crossbar.
There was another attempt from distance, this time from captain Amy Muir, but her effort from 30 yards out also sailed over the woodwork.
Goal number five would soon arrive, though, and it would be Brownlie again. She met a Mebae Tanaka cross at the back post, heading home to bag her brace from a couple of yards out.
Our sixth of the afternoon would follow soon after and it was Forrest back in amongst the goals, as she got the ball down with her chest and fired it towards goal, finding the back of the net once more.
With City in complete control, there would be a debut for Finnish midfielder Stark who came on with 25 minutes left to go for her first appearance in orange.

In the final 15 minutes, Forrest was denied her hat-trick by the crossbar as her header came back off the woodwork, before Hayley Lauder saw her strike from that rebound held by the goalkeeper.
