Glasgow City are excited to be part of a landmark new Sky Sports deal for the Scottish Women’s Premier League.
The new SWPL deal with the broadcaster will see Sky Sports show a minimum of 5 matches from the SWPL and SWPL Cup, beginning this season for the next seven seasons.
Sky Sports will also become title sponsors of the SWPL Cup.
Glasgow City CEO and SWPL Board member, Laura Montgomery commented:
"It is a fantastic positive step in the right direction for the SWPL."
"To have another big name broadcaster wanting to invest in our game and for the long term is terrific news for our new League. It follows brilliantly on the back of BBC Alba committing to more live games than ever before this season, with 26 live matches, as well as BBC Scotland's weekly League highlights show extended to 45 minutes after the success of the inaugural show last season.
"Women's football around the world is blossoming at an exponential rate with attendances growing rapidly through the turnstiles and across broadcasters on our TV screens. We have a fantastic game in Scotland and a really competitive League and it is great to see Sky Sports and indeed the BBC invest in this."
The Sky TV deal adds to the minimum 26 live BBC Alba SWPL matches and additional BBC Sport Scotland streaming.
Other home Glasgow City matches are shown LIVE on our Recast channel and games broadcast domestically will be available on Recast outside the UK/Ireland. Full away game replays will also be available on Recast.
