Glasgow City secured a comfortable path to the Sky Sports SWPL semi-finals this afternoon with a 9-0 with over Glasgow Women at New Tinto Park.
A Jenna Clark hat trick, two goals each from Lauren Davidson and Sarah Gibb plus strikes from Emily Whelan and Sophia Martin sealed a routine win for Eileen Gleeson's side.
The head coach handed first starts to summer signings Chloe Warrington and Bea Prades, while Lee Gibson returned into the City nets.
However, it was another summer signing who almost gave City the perfect start, with Kinga Kozak tapping home after just two minutes - though, sadly, the referee would chalk it off for a foul in the build up.
Priscila Chinchilla then almost headed home after a delightful cross as City asserted dominance early on.
Chinchilla would have a huge hand in the first goal just moments later though when her driving run ended with her playing a delightful through ball to Whelan who - as usual - made no mistake.
City would double their lead five minutes later when Kozak was fouled in the area and allowed Davidson to calmly slot home her 12th goal of the campaign.
Chinchilla would almost grab a third on the half hour mark when she won the ball back deep in the Glasgow Women half and drove her shot narrowly wide.
A delightful cross field ball from Clark would release Davidson ten minutes before the break, though her shot would be palmed away and a combination of Whelan and Hayley Lauder couldn't force the ball home.
The duo would combine again though seconds later when Clark headed home her third of the season from a pinpoint Lauder cross.
And there was no let up in the second period, with Chinchilla smashing a 25-yard drive off the bar, before substitute Gibb grabbed her first ever City goal from range after nice hold up play from Abbi Grant.
Scotland international Davidson would than grab her second goal with 25 minutes remaining when her goal bound shot took a wicked deflection and flew into the net.
Academy graduate Gibb would then add her second of the game with ten minutes remaining - and comfortably the goal of the afternoon - when she unleashed a bullet 25-yard drive into the net that gave Molly Reeve no chance.
The academy graduates weren't done there though as teenager Martin bulleted home a sumptuous Grant cross to open her City account - much to the delight of her team mates and the visiting bench.
Gleeson's side would then complete the scoring when centre back Clark's close range strike add a ninth goal - and completed her hat trick.
