Stef McLoughlin Appointed New Head of Commercial

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Stef McLoughlin as our new Head of Commercial as we continue our push to be trailblazers on and off the park for the women's game in Scotland.

Stef joins having previously served as the Commercial Manager at Lewes Football Club where she was instrumental in growing global partnerships; raising the profile of the club across the world. Her work was pivotal in helping to position Lewes as a leader in promoting equal pay and advocating for the future of women's football, driving financial growth through forward-thinking, value-driven partnerships.

On what attracted Stef to join The Original Trailblazers she had the following to say.

''I've followed the Glasgow City story for some time, and I've always been in awe of, and deeply inspired by, everything Laura Montgomery and Carole Anne Stewart have created. Their vision for the club and their ability to carve out a unique path in the women's game resonates deeply with my own passion for growing and commercialising women's football.

I am passionate about bringing more investment into women's football and attracting women-centric brands to the sport. This will help bridge the gap and make the playing field more equal.

I strongly believe that Glasgow City's ambition and its commitment to bringing more women into the sport is exactly the direction we need for the future.''

Chief Executive Laura Montgomery is excited to expand the club's off the field operation.

''I am hugely looking forward to seeing Stef bring her undoubted passion for growing the women's game to spearhead our commercial strategy. She joins us at a time when we have also expanded our Media and Marketing Team as we continue to amplify our story to fans and businesses alike.

As a club we are committed to the growth of women's football, and that growth has to happen off the pitch as well as on it. As we strive for a sustainable future it is particularly pleasing to welcome people into the club who are unequivocally committed to the growth of the game we all love.

We now have a team off the pitch that will support our goals on the pitch and for our community, as we continue to blaze trails for the weeks, months and years to come.''

Stef will officially begin her role next week ahead of our 500th SWPL game against Hibernian at Petershill Park. Tickets for which can be bought here now.
