SWPL Match Preview: Glasgow City v Rangers

SWPL Match Preview: Glasgow City v Rangers

A top-two clash awaits us this weekend, as we host Rangers at Petershill Park in the ScottishPower Women's Premier League.

Leanne Ross and her side will be looking to maintain our fine form at the top of the league, currently sitting undefeated and seven points clear of second-placed Rangers at the summit.

Last Time Out

In our first SWPL match of 2026, we picked up where we left off prior to the winter break, extending our unbeaten run in the league by defeating Partick Thistle 3-0 at the Peasy.

A brace from Amy Anderson had us 2-0 up by the half-hour mark, before Natalia Wróbel netted her third goal in two matches early on in the second half to round off proceedings.

Previous Meeting

In the reverse fixture against this weekend's opponents, we claimed a 1-0 win at Ibrox back in late September.

That match looked to be finishing in a stalemate until Nicole Kozlova popped up at the back post in the 85th minute, firing home a free-kick whipped in by Lisa Evans.
