SWPL Match Preview: Hearts v Glasgow City

SWPL Match Preview: Hearts v Glasgow City

For one final time in 2025, we are in ScottishPower Women's Premier League action, as we travel to Edinburgh to face Hearts in a top-two encounter at Oriam.

City are guaranteed to go into the imminent winter break sitting top of the league table, but a win over second-placed Hearts this Sunday would extend our advantage at the summit to seven points.

Last Time Out

In our penultimate match of the calendar year and our last one at home, we defeated Hamilton Accies 7-0 at Petershill Park.

It was a day to remember for forward Lisa Forrest, who netted five goals, and midfielder Louisa Boyes, who netted her first City goal, whilst Abi Harrison also got herself on the scoresheet late on.

Previous Meeting

Our last encounter with Hearts came back in September when we prevailed with an impressive 5-1 win at the Peasy.

Nicole Kozlova scored in either half to bag her brace, with Natalia Wróbel, Sofia Määttä and Harrison also getting in amongst the goals. Jenna Slattery bagged a late consolation effort for the visitors on that day.
