SWPL Match Summary - Glasgow City 0-1 Hibernian

We were left frustrated at The Peasy following a narrow 1-0 defeat to Hibernian saw our lead at the top of the ScottishPower Women's Premier League cut to a point.

City entered the match with two changes from the side that secured a record-equalling seventh Sky Sports Cup trophy at the weekend with Chloe Warrington and Amy Anderson introduced to the starting eleven in place of Lisa Evans and Hayley Lauder.

Match Action from Petershill Park

It was a controlled and disciplined first half display from City, who dominated possession and worked hard to break down a well-organised Hibernian side with Noa Schumacher smothering efforts from Natalia Wróbel and Sofia Määttä to ensure the sides went in level at the break.

Our hopes were dealt a blow early in the second half when Eilidh Adams gave Hibernian
the lead with a sharp finish from range after a tackling Amy Anderson in the build up, with the City midfielder unable to continue moments later.

We kept pushing forward in search of an equaliser and substitute Mebae Tanaka nearly found it only to be denied by Schumacher as the visitors held on.

Focus now quickly shifts to Sunday with the visit of second-placed Hearts, a game where your support will matter as much as it always does.
