A late winner from Nicole Kozlova saw City extend our winning start to the Scottish Women's Premier League campaign to six wins from six after we defeated Rangers 1-0 at Ibrox Stadium.
It has been a match of several chances for both side's but it would be Leanne Ross and her side who claimed all three points after a well-worked move from a free-kick five minutes from time.
The victory means City go top of the table with a maximum of 18 points ahead of playing our game in hand against Hibernian at Meadowbank on Wednesday night.
Match action from Ibrox
At Ibrox, it was an unchanged City starting XI from last week's emphatic 5-1 win at home against Hearts, with the only addition being Emma Brownlie being named amongst the substitutes following a spell out with injury.
We fashioned the first opportunity of the game after seven minutes when Kozlova got a shot away from an angle inside the box, which forced Rangers goalkeeper Jenna Fife into an early diving stop.
Five minutes later, Kozlova latched onto a great ball before playing through Abi Harrison. Through on goal, her strike was saved by Fife, before the rebound was sent behind by the goalkeeper for a corner.
Rangers looked to hit us on the counterattack with Mia McAulay played through, but a composed Lee Gibson made herself big and made a brave spot to deny the Rangers forward.
With just over five minutes to go in the first half, Gibson made another great save, this time doing incredibly well to push Lizzie Arnot's strike round the post.
Inside the opening couple of minutes of the second half, City won a free-kick after Kozlova was hauled down by Eilidh Austin, and the set-piece resulted in Kimberley Smit heading wide.
The home side also had an off-target chance through Shin-Ji Kim, as she saw her strike from outside the box well wide of the post.
It was a hat-trick of phenomenal saves from Gibson just after the hour-mark, with our No.29 making a great reaction stop to thwart Katie Wilkinson's volley from inside the area, before Smit made a sensational block to clear the danger of the resulting corner.
With less than 10 minutes to go, City were lucky not to go behind when McAulay was gifted space down the left side of the box, but the Rangers player's strike sailed over the bar and out for a goal kick.
But, our lead arrived soon after. It came from a well-worked free-kick that was whipped into the box by Lisa Evans, flicked on by the head of substitute Katie Lockwood and tapped in at the back post by Kozlova.
